Broad security campaign in Gaza to arrest collaborators, outlaw elements

GAZA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – A security force operating under the name “Rade’a” (Deterrent) carried out extensive security operations across the Gaza Strip governorates, resulting in the arrest of a large number of collaborators and outlaw elements, according to a security source in the Strip cited by the Palestinian Media Center.

The source clarified that the force continued the interrogation of those detained and the pursuit of those involved. It also seized control of sites belonging to armed militias in Gaza City and executed a series of sweeping and arrest operations targeting individuals who participated in opening fire, killing displaced persons, and attacking civilians.

The source added that the competent authorities had granted the suspects a deadline to surrender themselves, noting that some refused, leading to them being dealt with according to the rules of engagement to maintain public security.

In the central part of the Strip, security agencies executed a precise operation that led to the arrest of a group proven to be involved in shooting at resistance fighters and security personnel. The detainees have been referred to the relevant judicial authorities to take the necessary legal measures.

The source also indicated that in the southern part of the Strip, a number of individuals involved in cooperating with an armed militia and recruiting collaborators during the war period were apprehended. They were detained pending the completion of security and judicial procedures against them.

The security source affirmed that anyone proven to be involved in cooperation with the Israeli occupation or committing crimes will be referred to the judicial authorities, and that the “Rade’a” force is determined to impose order and uproot gangs and militias, while remaining committed to confronting anyone who threatens internal security.
