GAZA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – About 154 Palestinian prisoners, who were released in the prisoner exchange deal, arrived at Egypt.
This comes in implementation of the decision to deport them. Among them is Mahmoud al-Arda, the commander of the “Freedom Tunnel” operation, who was released from Gilboa Prison in 2021.
Under the exchange deal, 250 Palestinian prisoners were released today, including those serving long sentences and life sentences, in addition to 1,718 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested by the occupation during the war.
Large crowds of people welcomed the released prisoners in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
In return, the Palestinian resistance released 20 living Israeli prisoners, and the rest of inanimate prisoners will continue to be handed over, in accordance with the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.
