RAMALLAH, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Zionist settlers cut down 150 olive trees on Sunday in the village of al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, Palestinian sources reported.
According to the sources, a group of settlers raided an area west of the village and cut down 150 olive trees at the start of the olive harvest season, before withdrawing from the area. Earlier in the day, colonists were also seen grazing their sheep on Palestinian-owned farmland in the village.
Earlier in the day, settlers were also reported grazing their sheep on private Palestinian lands in the village.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that settlers carried out 232 acts of vandalism and theft targeting Palestinian property during July alone. These attacks affected vast areas of land and resulted in the uprooting, destruction, and poisoning of 2,844 trees, including 2,647 olive trees.
