Thousands rally in Vienna for Palestine, demand sanctions on “Israel”

VIENNA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Thousands of people demonstrated in the Austrian capital, Vienna, on Saturday evening in support of Palestine and to demand sanctions on “Israel” over acts of genocide committed in the Gaza Strip over the past two years.

The protest was held with the participation of more than 50 civil society organizations, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation.

Demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and held banners calling for sanctions on Israel, while chanting slogans such as “Boycott Israel” and “Europe funds, Israel bombs.”

The protest later moved to the street housing the offices of the Austrian chancellor, foreign ministry, and presidency, where protesters called on the government to take action and impose sanctions on the Israeli government.
