Calls in Aden for popular escalation on October 14 Revolution anniversary

ADEN, Oct. 11 (YPA) – The “Coordination Committee of Civil and Human Rights Forces” in Aden, southern Yemen, on Saturday called on the city’s residents to participate in a large celebratory event next Tuesday in Crater Square, marking the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution.

In a statement, the coordination committee confirmed that the event aims to “revive the spirit of the revolution” and renew the pledge to continue the peaceful struggle until citizens’ rights are secured and injustice is removed, under slogans demanding the provision of stable electricity and water, and the regular payment of salaries.

The statement demanded that the factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition immediately release all forcibly disappeared and kidnapped individuals, and stressed the necessity of ending corruption, rejecting foreign dependency, and restoring “free national decision-making.”
