Hundreds of thousands in London rally to express solidarity with Palestinians

LONDON, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Hundreds of thousands of people rallied in the streets of London on Saturday in a massive demonstration organized by Palestinian and British groups to mark the second anniversary of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In the rally, protesters raised flags and chanted slogans demanding accountability for those responsible for crimes, an end to the occupation and blockade of Gaza, and the achievement of a just peace that guarantees the national rights of Palestinians.

For his part, Zaher Birawi, head of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, emphasized that the current truce is not a permanent solution, calling for continued popular mobilization and political action.

In its statement, the Forum called on the British government and the international community to pressure for a permanent ceasefire, accountability for those responsible for violations, and Palestinian leadership over the Gaza reconstruction process.
