GAZA, Oct. 08 (YPA) – Iran’s media revealed on Wednesday new details about the dismantling of a large-scale spy network affiliated with the Israeli Mossad, overseen by a person using a virtual identity called “James B. Dean” on the X.
James B. Dean’s confessions revealed that the network began by publishing anti-regime content online with the aim of recruiting dissidents and inciting protests during the fall 2022 protests. His role then evolved into leading a digital campaign called “Sad Mahaleh” to organize street acts of subversion.
After that, he was connected to a transnational network, receiving instructions from a woman residing in Australia to communicate with an operative directly linked to the Mossad. The network’s leader began collecting and transmitting sensitive information about security and military facilities and sites inside Iran to the Israeli side. The transfer of this data coincided with the escalation of Israeli attacks in 2025.
After a lengthy surveillance operation, Iranian Ministry of Intelligence forces were able to identify the network’s members and arrest the main organizer and several participants.
The network was officially dismantled and legal action was initiated against those involved. In his televised confessions, James Baden said his support for “Israel” was one of his biggest mistakes and that he did not know the extent of the harm and casualties the group had caused.
