STC leader killed in Abyan attack

ABYAN, Oct. 08 (YPA) – A leader in the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions, with his companion, were killed on Wednesday in an armed attack in Mudiyah district of Abyan province.

Local sources reported that unknown gunmen, believed to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda, targeted a military vehicle of Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al-Fahha Al-Yafei, Al-Fahha.

Al-Fahha served as the so-called chief of staff of the Third Battalion of the Third Support and Logistics Brigade.

The sources confirmed that the attack took place on the main road east of the district.
