STC launches fierce attack on pro-coalition authorities in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 06 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) launched a sharp attack on the local authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Hadramout province on Sunday, accusing them of attempting to forge dubious agreements aimed at legitimizing corruption and sharing interests among themselves.

In a statement, the STC described the local authorities’ actions as “a clear revelation of the true intentions of those who claim to care about Hadramout, while pursuing narrow personal gains.”

The statement referred specifically to a recent agreement between the local government and the “Hadramout Tribal Alliance.”

Hadramout has become a focal point of rivalry between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, especially following Riyadh’s support for the formation of the so-called “Hadramout Protection Forces,” led by the head of the Hadramout Tribal Alliance.
