Qatar welcomes Hamas’ readiness to release all Israeli captives

DOHA, Oct. 04 (YPA) – Qatar welcomed the announcement by the Hamas movement approving US President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war in Gaza, the Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on X.

“We welcome Hamas’s announcement of its readiness to release all captives under the exchange framework outlined in the proposal,” the spokesperson said.

He reaffirmed Qatar’s support for Trump’s call for an immediate ceasefire to facilitate the release of prisoners.

The spokesperson added that Qatar has begun working with its mediation partners in Egypt, in coordination with the United States, to continue discussions on the plan.
