Iraq warns Zionist entity: We will not allow the use of our airspace

SANAA, Oct. 01 (YPA) – Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji affirmed that Iraq will not allow the Zionist entity to use its airspace for any hostile purpose.

This came during a meeting between Al-Araji and the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Majid Mirahmadi, and his accompanying military delegation, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, where several security issues of mutual interest were discussed.

In his statements, Al-Araji explained that the Iraqi government had submitted an official complaint to the UN Security Council protesting the Zionist entity’s use of Iraqi airspace to carry out attacks against Iran.

Al-Araji added that Baghdad would take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such violations, stressing that his country considers this aggressive behavior a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of the region.

The Iraqi government had previously warned that any use of its airspace to attack neighboring countries constitutes a violation of international law and threatens regional security, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in confronting these violations.
