Fatah: US plan is a “surrender document” that undermines Palestinian rights
RAMALLAH, Sept. 30 (YPA) – Abbas Zaki, a member of Fatah Movement’s Central Committee, stated that the American plan being promoted through international and Arab forums represents a “surrender document” aimed at targeting Palestinian national rights.
He affirmed that “the plan was drafted in a way that keeps Gaza under external administration and experiments that do not express the will of its people.”
In press statements on Tuesday, Zaki said that the proposals discussed during international meetings reflect “conditional acceptance” being imposed on the Palestinian people without their consent. He stressed that the agreed-upon clauses do not achieve the right to self-determination but rather entrench humiliation and capitulation.
Zaki added that focusing on issues such as the prisoner file or exchange arrangements should not take precedence over the priority of selecting the legitimate Palestinian leadership representing the people.
He warned that any Arab position supporting or promoting the plan “amounts to participation in the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.”
Zaki emphasized that any settlement imposed under external guardianship or administration “will not end the Israeli occupation; rather, it will legitimize its presence and provide cover for the parties imposing the de facto situation on the ground.”
