Israeli occupation forces launch large-scale arrest campaign in occupied West Bank

WEST BANK, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched wide-scale arrest campaigns at dawn on Monday across the occupied West Bank.

In Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, the forces arrested seven Palestinian citizens, including a child.

According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces stormed al-Jalazone refugee camp north of al-Bireh city and arrested five citizens after raiding and searching their homes.

The same sources added that the occupation forces also stormed the al-Duwayma community hall, turning it into a field interrogation center, subjecting several residents to on-the-spot questioning.

They also shut down a medical center belonging to UNRWA before withdrawing from the area.

Additionally, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian child and his cousin after raiding their family homes in the Ein Misbah neighborhood in Ramallah.

In Hebron (al-Khalil), southern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces arrested six citizens.

The sources reported that five citizens were arrested from Beit Ummar, and one from Dahriyya, south of Hebron, after soldiers raided and ransacked their homes.

The sources also noted that the occupation forces set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages, and refugee camps. They also closed several main and secondary roads, disrupting Palestinian movement.

Meanwhile, two Palestinian youths were arrested from the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, after the occupation forces stormed and searched their family homes.

Late last night, the occupation forces also raided Dheisheh refugee camp, sparking confrontations. No injuries were reported.
