Foreign Ministry in Sanaa discusses joint cooperation with Islamic Relief, Red Cross

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Ismail Al-Mutawakel, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the International Cooperation Sector in Sana’a, discussed areas of joint cooperation in two separate meetings today with the representative of the Islamic Relief Organization in Yemen, Siddiq Khan, and the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen, Christine Chipola.

The meetings touched on the progress of implementing projects and activities of the Red Cross and Islamic Relief missions, as well as the most prominent difficulties and ways to address them.

Ismail Al-Mutawakel stressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ keenness to overcome the challenges facing international organizations to enable them to perform their tasks with ease.

Khan and Christine Chipola expressed their appreciation for the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirming their commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts in Yemen and implementing its programs according to urgent priorities.
