Israeli occupation forces conduct raids, arrests across occupied West Bank

West Bank, Sept. 25(YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-ranging arrest campaign across several areas of the West Bank during the early hours of Thursday, detaining multiple Palestinians including a journalist, a lawyer, social activists, and several former prisoners.

According to local sources, Israeli troops stormed the Al-Masyoun neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh, where they detained the son of imprisoned journalist Alaa Al-Rimawi after raiding and searching the family home

In Hebron, the occupation forces detained five Palestinians and held dozens during raids in the southern West Bank governorate. Four were detained from the town of Sa’ir northeast of Hebron after being subjected to field interrogations, and one was detained from Al-Fawwar refugee camp in the south.

Forces also raided homes in the town of Beit Kahel northwest of Hebron, conducting searches and ransacking property.

Elsewhere in Hebron, a prominent social activist was arrested from his home in the southern part of the city. Troops also raided several homes belonging to members of the Al-Atrash family in the Wadi Al-Hariyah area.

In occupied East Jerusalem, a former Palestinian prisoner was arrested during a raid on his home in the Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood of Silwan. Israeli forces reportedly conducted a thorough search of the residence before detaining the individual.

In Bethlehem, the occupation troops raided the town of al-Khader, taking positions in multiple neighborhoods and detaining two Palestinians, while briefly detaining others.

Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man from the town of Marda and detained three other residents from the nearby town of Bruqin in the Salfit Governorate.

In a separate raid, the occupation troops stormed the village of Marda in northern Salfit, raiding several homes, conducting searches, and ransacking their contents. Another young man was arrested from his family’s home during the raid.
