Sanaa declares Yemen’s seat at United Nations is vacant

SANAA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates sent in a statement on Wednesday notes to the Office of the secretary-general of the United Nations and all permanent delegations to the United Nations in New York.

The memos that Yemen’s seat at the UN is vacant and any applicant to represent Yemen is considered an impersonator and the United Nations bears the legal responsibility resulting from dealing with the impersonator of this capacity.

The memorandums also confirmed that the Supreme Political Council and the Sanaa government are the legitimate and sole representative of the Yemeni people and their interests.
