Shabwa residents troubled by daily UAE air defense sirens

SHABWA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Mysterious siren-like sounds have been heard daily, alarming residents in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, which is under the control of Emirati forces, without any official explanation from the relevant authorities.

Local sources in the city reported that for nearly two months, these mysterious sirens have been sounding every morning during the early hours of dawn, leaving residents puzzled.

The sources suggested  that the sounds might be the result of new technical systems connected to the Emirati air defense systems, which were recently installed at the Mura, Al-Shabeeka, and Al-Sawda military camps located on the outskirts of Ataq, about 18 kilometers away.

The sources also pointed out that these sounds have been met with disregard and silence from the UAE-aligned authorities, who have not provided any explanation for the source of this daily, unexplained disturbance troubling the citizens.
