GAZA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – Several Palestinians were killed and many others wounded in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City since the early hours of Sunday morning, Palestinian medical sources reported.
According the sources, four civilians were killed and others injured when Israeli warplanes targeted an apartment in a residential building belonging to the Al-Haddad family, near Al-Shaabiya Junction in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.
Medical sources further reported that the overall death toll from multiple airstrikes on various neighborhoods in Gaza City since midnight has risen to nine.
The number is expected to increase as rescue teams have been unable to retrieve those still missing under the rubble following strikes on the homes of the Dugmosh, Al-Haddad, and Mohsen families in the Al-Sabra neighborhood.
In parallel with the airstrikes, Israeli artillery shelling has continued, and reports indicate that an explosive-laden armored vehicle was detonated in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim corridor in the central Gaza Strip. Continuous gunfire has also been reported in the vicinity of Wadi Gaza Bridge.
