Portugal to officially recognize State of Palestine on Sunday

LISHBON, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Portugal will formerly recognize the State of Palestine on Sunday, ahead of the UN General Assembly meeting, where approximately 10 other countries are scheduled to take similar steps.

The Ministry confirmed in a statement posted on its website last night that “Portugal will recognize the State of Palestine, and the official recognition will be announced on Sunday, September 21.”
