Two Israeli soldiers killed in West Bank-Jordan crossing attack

QUDS, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Two Israeli soldiers were killed in an attack near the Allenby Bridge crossing on the eastern border of the occupied West Bank on Thursday

The Israeli ambulance service announced that two soldiers were targeted on the border between Jordan and occupied Palestinian territories.

Correspondent of the Israeli army radio reported on a shooting incident at the Allenby Bridge crossing on the border with Jordan, while the attacker was killed in a shootout with Israeli occupation forces.

The correspondent added that the perpetrator was a retired Jordanian soldier who was driving a truck and opened fire at close range, also using a knife in the attack.

last September, a Jordanian truck driver carried out a shooting attack at the Allenby Bridge (King Hussein Bridge) crossing, resulting in the deaths of three Israeli soldiers.

Israeli media described the incident in Gaza as “extremely harsh”, adding that the area where the attack occurred was “supposed to be a safe zone for the Israeli army.
