PJPC: “Israel” deliberately cuts communications to conceal its crimes in Gaza

GAZA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) on Thursday condemned the Israeli military’s deliberate cutting of internet and telecommunications services in Gaza City and the northern governorate, following strikes that targeted key infrastructure routes.

In a statement, PJPC described the blackout as part of a systematic policy aimed at concealing war crimes and violations against civilians. The communications blackout came amid intensified Israeli ground and air operations, as well as large-scale evacuation orders.

“The disruption of communications has compounded the suffering of residents and severely hindered coordination between hospitals and emergency services,” the statement said, warning of a potential collapse of the already strained healthcare system amid continued restrictions on fuel and medical supplies.

The Palestine Telecommunications Company (Paltel) also confirmed on Thursday that landline and fixed internet services remain down for a second consecutive day in both Gaza and North Gaza governorates due to ongoing Israeli bombardment.

The communications blackout has raised serious concerns among rights groups, journalists, and humanitarian agencies working in the enclave, as it limits access to information and hampers relief efforts.
