Senior Yemeni official assassinated in central Taiz

TAIZ, Sept. 18 (YPA) -Unidentified gunmen shot and killed Iftihan Al-Mashhari, a senior Yemeni official and head of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund on Thursday morning in central Taiz province.

Local sources reported that the assailants fired directly at Al-Mashhari targeting her head and face, before fleeing the scene.

Al-Mashhariwas considered a prominent figure in her field, and her assassination has been described as a shocking crime that has shaken the streets of Taiz.

The incident has sparked widespread calls for justice and urgent demands to curb the deteriorating security situation in the city.
