QUDS, Sept. 16 (YPA) –Dozens of Zionist settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) reported.
According to Islamic Waqf Department, the Zionist settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the Mosque.
Meanwhile, the occupation police forces imposed strict restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, checking their ID at the gates and preventing many from entering the mosque.
Calls continue from Jerusalemite groups urging people to mobilize, remain steadfast, and maintain a presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Daily incursions and violations by settlers and Israeli occupation forces target Al-Aqsa Mosque—excluding Fridays and Saturdays—in an apparent attempt to alter its status quo and impose a temporal and spatial division.
