Early warning warns of flash floods, rock slides

SANAA, Sept. 05 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has warned of the dangers of thunderstorms and poor visibility on mountainous roads and slopes.

In its weather forecast, the center expected scattered showers falling on parts of provinces of Shabwa, Bayda, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rayma, Hajjah, Mahwit, Sanaa, Amran, Saada and Hodeida.

It pointed out that scattered rains were likely to fall on parts of the provinces of Lahj, Abyan, Haddramout, Mahra, the southern coasts and the adjacent inland areas.

The center warned drivers of poor visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to fog, low clouds.
