At least 219,306 Palestinians killed, wounded in ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 21 (YPA) – The number of Palestinians martyred in Israeli occupation’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has risen to 62,192, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the ministry’s daily update, 70 residents were killed in the last 24 hours, with two bodies recovered from the rubble. At least 356 others were injured, bringing the total number of injuries to 157,114, since the Israeli aggression began in October 2023.

It also reported 18 new deaths from starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of famine-related deaths to 2,036, including children, with 117 wounded.

Since May 27, the occupation forces have killed 1,924 Palestinians and injured 14,288 others while they were trying to reach needed food and supplies.
