DAMASCUS, Aug. 20 (YPA) – Seven Israeli soldiers were injured on Wednesday when an old bomb belonging to the former Syrian army exploded in the occupied Mount Hermon area of Syria.
According to the Hadashot Bazman Hebrew website, the soldiers were handling the bomb at the site before exploding, injuring seven of them, four of whom were described as critically injured.
No further details have yet been released regarding the results of the incident.
The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, and the Israeli military has remained tight-lipped about the nature of the mission the soldiers were carrying out in the area.
