Belgian workers refuse to load plane bound for “Israel”

BURUSSELS, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Brussels Airlines announced on Wednesday that its flight to Tel Aviv took off with a volunteer crew after ground handlers refused to load baggage in protest against the resumption of flights to “Israel”.

This position came in response to a call by the Belgian National Union of Airport Workers to refuse to operate flights to Tel Aviv in protest against the genocide and gross violations of international law in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

Belgium is witnessing escalating protests over the Israeli war on Gaza, including daily demonstrations and protests in Brussels and other cities, demanding an immediate end to the war.
