Moroccans demonstrate against docking of military ships bound for “Israel”

SANAA, Aug. 04 (YPA) – The city of Tangier witnessed one of the largest popular movements against normalization in Morocco, as thousands gathered in front of the city’s Mediterranean port yesterday, to protest the docking of cargo ships loaded with military equipment believed to be headed to the port of Haifa in support of the Israeli occupation army.

These demonstrations came in response to a call launched by the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and the Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization, in an attempt to prevent two ships carrying spare parts for F-35 aircraft from unloading their cargo or resuming their journey towards the occupied Palestinian territories.

Participants in the march chanted slogans, including: “A message to Rabat..Stop linking with the fighting entity,” in a direct expression of their rejection of any form of military or commercial cooperation with the occupation.

The demonstrators raised banners demanding an end to the massacres against civilians in Gaza, the immediate entry of humanitarian aid, the cancellation of normalization agreements with the occupation, and confronting attempts to displace Palestinians from their land.
