SANAA, July 27 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament’s Presidium met in Sanaa, chaired by Yahya al-Ra’i and attended by Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi, to discuss national and regional developments, with a focus on the Israeli aggression and blockade against the Palestinian people.
The meeting affirmed Yemen’s unwavering position on the Palestinian cause, calling for international parliaments to act to save Gaza and halt the aggression.
Al-Rahwi reviewed the government’s performance in the security, economic, and development sectors and praised the parliament’s cooperation in supporting the government in facing current challenges.
At the meeting important national issues were discussed, including halting dealings with those impersonating the Yemeni parliament and criticizing the role of “the Saudi-led coalition’s mercenaries” in plundering Yemen’s wealth.
The attendees emphasized the importance of integrating powers to address challenges, especially the economic war and blockade, and condemned the Zionist attacks linked to Yemen’s support for Gaza. They recommended that parliamentary committees be tasked with evaluating the government’s performance and monitoring the implementation of its program and parliament’s recommendations.
