Military commander speaks of permanent closure of Bab al-Mandab

SANAA, July 27 (YPA) – Major General Bakil Saleh Al-Wahbi, the commander of the Al-Wahbi Brigades affiliated with the Sana’a forces, affirmed that upcoming military options will be “painful for the Israeli enemy and its partners.”

In a statement, Major General Bakil Saleh Al-Wahbi revealed that among the popular and military demands is the gradual or complete closure of the Bab al-Mandab Strait if the Israeli aggression against Gaza continues.

Al-Wahbi explained that closing Bab al-Mandab would be an effective tool to make the world feel responsible for the famine striking the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli-American blockade.

He emphasized that Yemen will not stand idly by in the face of ongoing “war crimes and genocide.”
