OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 27 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation authorities, on Sunday, forced two Jerusalemite families to demolish their homes in occupied Jerusalem.
Palestinian sources reported, citing the Jerusalem Governorate, that the occupation municipality forced the Qara’een family to carry out a forced self-demolition of their home in the Al-Farouq neighborhood in Jabal al-Mukaber, to avoid paying heavy fines and carrying out the demolition by occupation bulldozers.
The sources explained that six residential apartments were turned into rubble after the Al-Halwani family was forced to forcibly demolish their residential building under pressure from the occupation municipality in the town of Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem, which resulted in the displacement of about 30 people, including children.
