Citizen killed by Shabwa gunmen

ABYAN, July 22 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen killed a citizen and looted his car in Shabwa province, which is under the control of Emirati factions in southeastern Yemen.

Local sources confirmed that Yassin Saeed Baleed Al-Khalifi were killed on Monday when he was driving his car on the sandy road between the areas of Dhulaymin and Al-Uqla. They then looted his car and fled to an unknown destination.

A number of citizens found Al-Khalifi covered in blood on the road, amid unprecedented security chaos in Shabwa’s districts.

The citizens indicated that armed elements became suspicious of the stolen car and pursued it toward Markha, where the two suspects in Al-Khalifi’s murder were injured and handed over to the relevant authorities.

Shabwa province are being witnessed a state of security chaos and widespread murders and theft of citizens’ property, due to the absence of state authorities since the beginning of 2016.
