HADRAMOUT, July 20 (YPA) -The Workers and Employees Union of PetroMasila, Sector 14, in Hadramaut Governorate, organized a protest at the field and the export terminal in Al-Dhaba, demanding workers’ rights and improvement of working conditions.
The protest marks the fourth escalation by the workers.
It comes after repeated neglect by the company’s management toward their demands.
The union had previously suspended a planned protest on July 15, in good faith, to give the company’s management one last chance to fulfill its promises. However, the company’s management has failed to offer any tangible solutions.
This pushed the workers to step up their actions, declaring that their ‘patience has run out.’
Protesters carried signs calling for improved working conditions and salary increases, vowing to continue their protests until their demands are met.
