Egyptian Nasserist Conference: Yemen’s role in resistance axis surpasses all expectations

CAIRO, July 20 (YPA) – Ahmed Mahmoud El-Dakm, spokesperson for the Egyptian Nasserist Conference, stated on Saturday that Yemen has become a dominant force in the Red Sea and is playing a more significant role in the Axis of Resistance than many analysts had predicted.

In an interview with Arab Journal, El-Dakm emphasized that Yemen operates independently and is not acting as a proxy for Iran.

He pointed to the continuation of Yemeni military operations in the Bab al-Mandab Strait even after the ceasefire between Iran and “Israel”, as evidence of Yemen’s autonomous decision-making.

He also noted that recent Yemeni attacks have successfully targeted and sunk ships supporting “Israel”, which, he argued, demonstrates direct support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and shows that Gaza is not alone in its fight.
