GAZA, July 07 (YPA) – The World Food Programme (WFP) has warned of a worsening hunger crisis in Gaza, noting that most families barely get a single meal a day amid collapsing food security and scarce resources.
In a statement, the programme explained that the fear of famine and the need for food remain high, with food systems on the verge of complete collapse due to the blockade and shortages of supplies.
WFP cited horrific testimonies from Gaza residents, where families are forced to risk their lives to secure food. One resident said that obtaining a kilo of flour has become a daily risk.
It called for the opening of safe corridors to deliver aid, warning of an impending humanitarian catastrophe.
