Hebrew media reveals reason for Washington’s desire to finalize Gaza ceasefire

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 06 (YPA) -Hebrew media outlets reported that US president Trump’s administration is seeking to finalize the Gaza deal in the next few days this week, rather than next week.

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to begin his visit to the White House on Monday, and there are plans to announce such a deal either at the outset of the visit or during it,” according Hebrew channel i24.

It indicated that the reason for this rapid announcement is primarily to “end this thing called Gaza, at least for now, as Trump has wanted this for a long time, and now after Iran, this has become possible.

The channel added: “The second reason is to expand the Abraham Accords. President Trump is actively working on this—sending teams and holding talks with various countries. Some of the names being mentioned include Oman, Indonesia, and Malaysia, although any agreement with them still appears to be a long way off.”

i24 reported that the US administration is seeking to expand the scope of the agreements and, for that reason, wants to move as quickly as possible. Officials see a window of opportunity following recent developments in Iran—one they are eager to seize before it closes.
