Palestinian factions welcome positive step for ceasefire agreement in Gaza
GAZA, July 05 (YPA) – The Palestinian factions welcomed the positive and flexible stance taken by the Palestinian negotiating delegation, led by Hamas, during the internationally mediated ceasefire talks on Saturday.
The factions affirmed in a statement that their support for efforts aimed at ending the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The statement called on regional and international mediators to seriously pressure the Israeli occupation to compel it to abide by the terms agreed upon by the Palestinian resistance, warning that the continuation of the aggression constituted a historic holocaust against the oppressed Palestinian people.
It stressed the importance of clear and strict guarantees for obligating the occupation to halt its aggression, withdraw completely, and lift the blockade, praising the steadfastness of the Gaza Strip’s residents and the Palestinian resistance, as well as continued popular support.
The statement called on the unity of the Palestinian position in confronting challenges and ensuring the transition to the “next day” phase, based on a comprehensive national vision that preserves the unity of the Palestinian land and people.
