BADHDAD, July 01 (YPA) – An unidentified drone crashed on Tuesday inside the Darkar camp for displaced Yazidis, located north of Zakho district in the Kurdistan Region, the Iraqi media outlets said.
The media outlets said the aircraft downed into a school building inside the camp, sparking panic among the displaced. However, the incident resulted in no injuries and only partial destruction to the school’s infrastructure.
In a concurrent development, a security source confirmed that Iraqi air defenses shot down another unidentified drone near the Baiji refinery in Salah al-Din province. The nature of the mission it was carrying out or any party behind its launch remained unclear.
