Pilgrims complete third day of Hajj rituals

MECCA, June 09 (YPA) – The pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah on Monday completed the third day of the Hajj rituals by stoning the Jamarat in Mina.

Following this, they proceeded to the Holy Mosque in Mecca to perform the Farewell Tawaf.

The Hajj season began on Wednesday, Dhu al-Hijjah 8 (June 4), with the Day of Tarwiyah in Mina, in preparation for the Day of Arafat on Dhu al-Hijjah 9.

According to Saudi authorities, the number of pilgrims this year reached 1,673,230, including 1,506,576 from abroad and 166,654 from within Saudi Arabia. This is 160,000 fewer than last year, when the total number reached 1,833,164, including 221,854 from within Saudi Arabia.
