UAE Red Crescent distributes rotten meat to residents in Ja’ar district

ABYAN, June 09 (YPA) – The “Emirati Red Crescent” distributed spoiled meat to residents in the Ja’ar district of Abyan Governorate in southern Yemen.

Activists reported that the distribution of Emirati meat, as part of the so-called “Eid sacrifices,” was met with widespread dissatisfaction and rejection by citizens, who refused to receive the spoiled meat that had become unfit for human consumption.

They confirmed that the color of the meat distributed by the UAE was abnormal and had a foul odor, which led many citizens to refuse it out of fear of their children getting sick.

They considered the distribution of rotten and spoiled meat a disregard for the lives of citizens and a violation of basic health safety standards, especially in the absence of oversight by local authorities who showed no concern for the citizens.
