Oman reveals US request to halt airstrikes on Yemen

MUSCAT, June 04 (YPA) – Oman’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, revealed on Wednesday that the Sultanate of Oman had received a US request to mediate to stop the war on Yemen.

In a post on X, Al-Khalili praised the lessons the Yemeni commandos provided, to the point that America was bowed its head to them, and its president asked Oman to mediate with them for peace and reconciliation.

He noted that the lesson had been repeated recently when the United Kingdom asked them to allow one of its ships to pass, and accepted Yemeni conditions with all submission.

Al-Khalili wondered: “Do those who have become accustomed to the policy of submission and prostration not think about this matter? It only increases their humiliation?”
