Hamas reveals Zionist enemy’s new mechanism to starve people of Gaza

GAZA, May 23 (YPA)  – The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said on Thursday that the Zionist enemy continues to commit the systematic crime of starvation against more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by rationing the entry of humanitarian aid and subjecting it to security and political equations, as part of what has become known as “starvation engineering.”

The movement said in a press statement that the enemy is seeking to impose facts on the ground through the “ghetto aid” plan, which attempts to portray the crime as a humanitarian solution.

Hamas explained that the aid delivered after 81 days of complete closure represents only a drop in the ocean of the normal needs of the Gaza Strip, which before the war required approximately 500 trucks per day to meet the minimum requirements of life.

It added, “Today, the quantities allowed to enter do not exceed less than a tenth of this number, amid the increasing number of displaced persons, the collapse of the health system, and the spread of hunger and malnutrition, especially among children.”

The movement warned against the enemy’s attempts to implement its plan to establish what resembles “concentration camps” in the southern Gaza Strip under the guise of aid, stressing that “this is a rejected colonialist scheme that will not succeed and will be confronted by the will of our people, who reject humiliation and submission and adhere to their right to life, freedom, and dignity.”

It renewed its call on the international community and humanitarian institutions to exert urgent pressure to completely lift the blockade, reject the engineering of hunger and humiliation, and provide a free and permanent humanitarian corridor that guarantees the flow of aid to meet the actual needs of the Palestinian people without control or extortion.
