Sanaa forces target “Ben Gurion” airport for second time

SANAA, May 22 (YPA) – Sanaa forces announced Thursday evening the implementation of a qualitative operation targeting Lod Airport, known in Israeli entity as Ben Gurion Airport, in the occupied Jaffa region, in the second military operation within hours.

In a statement issued this evening, spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces in Sanaa, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, explained that the operation was carried out using a hypersonic ballistic missile, which successfully achieved its target.

The attack forced millions of Israeli settlers to seek shelter, and disrupted air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport, forcing many incoming flights to be rerouted to their departure points, Saria added.

He confirmed that this is the second operation within hours.

Sarie indicated that the Sanaa forces are working to strengthen their military capabilities and intensify their operations in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, in response to the escalating crimes of the occupation against civilians.

He explained that these operations aim to escalate pressure by banning air traffic at Lod Airport and maritime traffic at the port of Haifa, in addition to impacting Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

The military spokesman emphasized that operations will continue until the Israeli aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted.

Earlier today, Sanaa forces announced the launch of an offensive targeting Ben Gurion Airport, in addition to striking two vital sites in Tel Aviv and Haifa.
