Israeli strike kills civilian in Southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 18 (YPA) -An Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle near the Abu al-Aswad area in the Tyre area, resulting in the martyrdom of one Lebanese citizen, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The strike targeted a vehicle traveling on the Zrariyeh–Abou al-Aswad Road in the Tyre district, engulfing it in flames and killing the individual inside. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but the person was declared dead on site.

In the early hours of Saturday, Israeli warplanes struck a prefabricated room and a hangar in the town of Ayta al-Shaab. Shortly afterward, another airstrike targeted a civilian tractor in the town of al-Dhayrah, both in southern Lebanon.

In a separate act, an Israeli aircraft dropped a stun grenade near a group of fishermen in the coastal town of Naqoura, further escalating tensions.

Additionally, an Israeli drone dropped three grenades on a civilian home in the town of Kfarkela, though no injuries were reported.

Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces conducted a sweeping operation from the Roueisat al-Alam position toward the outskirts of Kfar Shuba.
