Hebrew, American media acknowledge defeat of US-Israeli coalition in Yemen

SANAA, May 10 (YPA) – Concern and resentment are rising in the Hebrew media over what is being described as the United States’ abandonment of military support for Israel in the face of Yemeni attacks.

This comes amid field indications that Sanaa forces have succeeded in imposing a de facto air and sea blockade on the entity, separating the front of the conflict between Israel and America.

An air blockade expands

The Hebrew Channel 24 reported that “Israel is subject to a real air blockade from Yemen,” stressing that the cancellation of flights now constitutes a direct threat to the summer tourist season in the occupying entity.

It added, “After the launch of a missile from Yemen yesterday, it has become clear that we are not covered by any agreement between the United States and the Houthis.”

The channel confirmed that Sanaa forces succeeded in separating the American front from the Israeli one and maintained their position of refusing to halt military operations unless aid is allowed into Gaza.

Hebrew media: “Washington abandoned us”

In turn, the Hebrew Channel 12 reported, “We remained alone in the face of the maritime threat after the American agreement with the Houthis, and even more so in the face of an escalating air embargo,” referring to an actual American withdrawal from the front line.

In this context, Wizz Air announced the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv until next Wednesday, while the Italian airline decided to suspend its flights until the 19th of this month.

Last week, 27 airlines suspended their flights to Ben Gurion Airport in response to Yemeni threats.

American media… Washington under Yemeni pressure

In confirmation of this transformation, the American magazine “Foreign Affairs” said that the recent agreement between Washington and Sanaa does not restrict attacks against “Israel” or its ships in the Red Sea, noting that the Yemeni attacks were very effective, especially against “Israeli” navigation and American battleships.

The magazine added that the US airstrikes against Yemen were extremely costly and carried grave risks, including the possible death of American soldiers. As a result, Washington decided to withdraw from the air campaign under pressure due to its high cost and its fear of becoming embroiled in an open war with Sanaa forces.

Foreign Affairs concluded that the US raids on Yemen ceased before achieving their objectives, in a clear admission of the failure of the US strategy to curb Sanaa’s capabilities or reduce its threats to the occupying entity and its maritime navigation.

Sanaa imposes new equations

These data, according to analysts, reflect a strategic success for Sanaa’s forces in imposing new rules of engagement and forcing major powers to reposition themselves amid shifting balances on the ground.

Observers point out that Israel is facing increasing isolation amid a significant US retreat and the exposure of its air and naval front to ongoing attacks.

A pivotal question is being raised in the Hebrew media: Is “Israel” really alone?
