GAZA, May 034 (YPA) – Israeli occupation warplanes have continued their intense bombing on the Gaza Strip, leaving behind dozens of martyrs and wounded, as well as massive destruction of the remaining residential buildings.
This escalation comes as the humanitarian crisis worsens and the population enters a phase of real famine.
The airstrikes come amid reports that Israeli occupation has begun issuing mobilization orders to reservists, in preparation for calling up tens of thousands of them to expand the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media reports on Saturday evening.
Palestinian sources reported that a man, his wife, and their two children from the Qanan family were killed when their apartment was bombed by Israeli fighter jets in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.
In a separate strike, a man was killed when an Israeli warplane targeted a tent belonging to the family of former prisoner Bassam al-Najjar in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis.
On March 18, the Israeli occupation forces resumed their brutal assault on the Gaza Strip with a barrage of airstrikes, killing over 400 Palestinians and injuring more than 500 others within hours — the majority of them women and children.
