Major fire destroys 150 palm trees, causing environmental disaster in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, May 03 (YPA) – A massive fire broke out in the Sah district of Hadramout province, destroying more than 150 palm trees and causing significant environmental and agricultural losses.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out suddenly yesterday, Friday, and spread very quickly as a result of winds that hampered citizens’ efforts to extinguish it, while the causes of the fire are still unknown.

They noted that the fire not only consumed the palm trees but also affected large areas of Sispan trees. The extent of the damage has yet to be assessed.
