Yemeni Student Union official disappeared in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, April 24 (YPA) – Head of the Yemeni Student Union in Pakistan, Khaled Al-Sharabi, has been disappeared in Pakistan since last Tuesday, under mysterious circumstances.

This came in a joint statement that the Yemeni Student Unions Abroad issued to express their concern over the sudden disappearance of Sharabi.

The statement expressed full solidarity with Sharabi’s family and colleagues, emphasizing that the mysterious disappearance requires urgent action by official Yemeni and Pakistani authorities, as well as the Yemeni embassy in Islamabad, to investigate the circumstances of the incident and exert all possible efforts to determine his fate and ensure his safety.

“We, the Yemeni Student Unions Abroad, express our deep concern and call on all Yemeni authorities to take urgent action to investigate the circumstances of his disappearance, to communicate with Pakistani security agencies, to provide full support for the search efforts, and to provide psychological and moral support to Al-Sharabi’s family,” the statement added.

It called on anyone with any information that might help determine his whereabouts to urgently contact the union or the Yemeni embassy in Pakistan.
