WEST BANK, April 23 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces at dawn Wednesday stormed multiple West Bank cities, arresting at least 26 Palestinians and converting a freed prisoner’s home into a military base.
According to Palestinian sources, the arrests were concentrated in the town of Kober, north of Ramallah; Beit Furik, east of Nablus; and the town of Dhahiriya, south of Hebron.
In Kober, occupation forces arrested at least 24 Palestinians, including former prisoner Hanan Barghouthi.
The home of Nael Barghouthi—a released prisoner from the latest prisoner exchange deal who was deported abroad—was turned into a military outpost and interrogation center.
In Beit Furik, the occupation forces arrested a young man after raiding his family home in the Khalaf Al-Kaziyah neighborhood, and another young man from the Nasasrah neighborhood in the town.
Israeli forces also raided the town of Ad-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, converting one home into a military post and conducting widespread house raids and field interrogations.
Due to the ongoing Israeli incursion in Ad-Dhahiriya, the Palestinian Ministry of Education was forced to cancel school attendance today to ensure students’ safety.
