WEST BANK, April 22 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out wide-ranging arrest campaigns across the West Bank, targeting former detainees ,especially Hebron and Jenin.
In Jenin, Israeli occupation forces stormed a home in the Halima Al-Saadiya neighborhood and arrested a citizen from the city’s eastern district.
The military operation in Jenin city and its refugee camp has now entered its fourth consecutive month, during which the camp remains under siege.
All residents have been displaced, one-third of its buildings destroyed, and hundreds of others set ablaze
Israeli occupation forces raided a number of villages and towns south of Jenin, including the towns of Jaba’, Araba, and Siris, south of the governorate, and Burqin, west of the city.
In Nablus, a young man was arrested in the Al Atibaa’ neighborhood to pressure his brother into turning himself in.
During the early morning hours, military vehicles also entered the Palestinian Housing area in Rafidia before withdrawing.
In the village of Osrin, occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods, raiding and ransacking numerous homes. No arrests have been reported.
In Tubas, Israeli occupation forces launched a military operation in the village of Tayasir, east of the governorate.
They closed roads, raided homes across various neighborhoods, and reportedly looted cash and gold jewelry. Reinforcements, including armored bulldozers and military vehicles, continue to be deployed in the area.
Israeli troops also stormed Aqaba village, near Tayasir, and removed the Palestinian flag from atop the local school.
In Tulkarm, a young man was arrested after the occupation forces raided his home in the Dhinnaba suburb, where a continuous military operation has been ongoing for nearly three months.
In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, the occupation forces raided several towns and villages, conducting home invasions and searches.
In Bethlehem, the occupation troops surrounded schools in the western part of Al-Khader town, stationed themselves in the courtyard of Al-Khader Stadium opposite two local schools, causing widespread panic among students. School staff had to intervene to ensure the safe arrival of students.
In Hebron, the occupation forces stormed Deir Samet, west of the city of Dura, and carried out a large-scale arrest campaign. Several former detainees were among those arrested.
